On the 13th, the reporter learned from Luoyang Water Conservancy Survey and Design Co., Ltd. that the list of winners of the 2024 Provincial Excellent Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering Survey and Design Awards was recently released, and three projects undertaken by the company won first prizes in the design, technical consulting, and survey categories, respectively.

Among them, the "Xin'an County Water City Ecological Water System Phase II Engineering Design" project won first prize in the design category. The project is located in the old urban area of Xin'an County, with a total length of about 3.6 kilometers. On the premise of meeting flood control safety requirements, Luoyang Water Conservancy Company took ecological restoration as its approach to create a comprehensive ecological waterfront, which not only improved flood control and drainage capacity, but also optimized the ecological environment of the Jian River, enhanced the city's quality, and added green momentum to the development of the local tourism economy.

The "Luoyang City 14th Five-Year Plan for Water-Saving Society Construction" project won first prize in the technical consulting category. The plan aims to achieve economical, intensive, and efficient use of water resources, focuses on the utilization of unconventional water sources and water conservation in agriculture, industry, and urban domestic life, integrates water conservation throughout the entire process of economic and social development and ecological civilization construction, effectively strengthens the rigid constraints of water use indicators, improves water conservation systems and mechanisms, and raises public awareness of water conservation.

The "Luoning County Water System Connectivity and Water-Beautiful Rural Construction Provincial Pilot County Project Survey (2022)" project won first prize in the survey category. In this project, Luoyang Water Conservancy Company dispatched two teams of eight surveying personnel to cooperate with design personnel in surveying topographic maps and longitudinal and cross sections of four rivers, providing solid support for Luoning County's pilot application work for water system connectivity and water-beautiful rural construction.
