Recently, Shanghai Electric Power Construction successfully won consecutive bids for the Hainan LNG Receiving Terminal Phase II Project and the Fujian LNG Receiving Terminal Project.

The Hainan LNG Receiving Terminal Phase II Project is located in the Yangpu Economic Development Zone, Hainan Province. The project plans to build three 220,000 m³ full-containment LNG storage tanks, and add six low-pressure send-out pumps, six loading pumps, three BOG compressors, three BOG boosters, one seawater fire electric pump, three LNG collection pits and corresponding lift pumps. The scope mainly undertaken by Shanghai Electric Power Construction this time includes the construction of three 220,000 m³ full-containment LNG storage tanks and one fire station.

This Phase II project will further enhance Hainan Province's natural gas supply and reserve capacity. At the same time, it can effectively expand Hainan's LNG re-export trade, carry out businesses such as cold storage of foreign LNG carriers and LNG tank container transshipment, and promote the development of the LNG spot trading market in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Fujian LNG Receiving Terminal Project is located in Fuqing City, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. It is a key project of Fujian Province, mainly including the receiving terminal, wharf, and export pipeline, with a total investment of 7.7 billion yuan. It plans to build three 200,000 m³ LNG storage tanks and supporting process facilities, utility facilities, and auxiliary production facilities. Its construction scale reaches 3 million tons per year and has a physical receiving capacity of 6.5 million tons per year, which can provide nearly 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas resources to Fujian Province annually. The scope mainly undertaken by Shanghai Electric Power Construction includes the construction of the concrete outer tank works for LNG storage tanks 2# and 3# (Section I).

This project is a key project of Fujian Province. After the first phase is put into operation, it can meet the natural gas demand within Fujian Province, ensure the safety of gas supply, and satisfy the seasonal peak shaving of the natural gas markets in Fujian, Jiangxi, and Hunan Provinces, playing an emergency supply guarantee role for the Third West-East Gas Pipeline and the Second West-East Gas Pipeline.
