Recently, the steel sheet pile cofferdam of the Sutera Bay Cofferdam and Reclamation EPC Project in Malaysia, undertaken by Sinohydro Foundation Engineering Co., Ltd., was successfully closed, marking the project's full entry into the final construction stage.

The Sutera Bay Cofferdam and Reclamation Project is located in the city center of Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah State, covering an area of approximately 4.5 acres. Its construction scope includes a double-row steel sheet pile cofferdam, offshore backfilling of the cofferdam foundation pit, site leveling, and the construction of temporary facilities. Upon completion, the project will create approximately 19,000 square meters of residential land at sea.

This project is the third offshore engineering EPC project undertaken by Sinohydro Foundation Engineering Co., Ltd. in the Sabah region of Malaysia. Facing numerous challenges such as construction during the tropical rainy season and excavation of massive boulder clusters on the seabed, the project team continuously optimized construction plans, overcame difficulties, and made every effort to advance the construction progress. The successful closure of the steel sheet pile cofferdam has provided conditions for the smooth implementation of subsequent offshore backfilling, site leveling, and construction of the cofferdam crown beam.
