On November 29, machines were roaring at the construction site of the Changli Bypass Reconstruction Project of the Provincial Highway S318 Golden Coast–Qianxi Highway, marking the project's official entry into the construction implementation phase.

It is understood that the project route has a total length of 12.579 kilometers (including 9.555 kilometers fully utilizing the existing section and 3.024 kilometers of newly built section), adopting the standard of a two-way four-lane Class I highway with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour and a total investment of 279 million yuan. The implementation of the Provincial Highway S318 project will enable separation from National Highway G205 and, by utilizing the S319 Beidaihe Airport Road, form a new S318 corridor, thereby relocating the provincial highway outward and further improving the provincial highway corridor. At the same time, it will create a new outer ring for Changli County seat and meet the need to improve the regional road network structure.

Since the project was launched, Changli County has continuously strengthened guarantee elements such as funding and land, and has advanced project construction in a staggered, continuous manner. The Qinhuangdao Municipal Transport Bureau has given strong support during project administrative approval, bidding and tendering, and construction guidance, providing solid guarantees for the smooth progress of the project. The Changli County Transport Bureau will increase the input of personnel and equipment, accelerate the project construction process, reverse the schedule and carry out operations with wall charts, and ensure the smooth progress of the project.
