The Most Beautiful Longjiang 331 Border Defense Road

Recently, the Xunke-Sunwu Boundary to Heihe Section Reconstruction and Expansion Project, part of the Phase I (Second Batch) construction general contracting project of the "Most Beautiful Longjiang 331 Border Defense Road," officially broke ground, marking a new stage for the Phase I (Second Batch) project of the "Most Beautiful Longjiang 331 Border Defense Road."

National Highway G331 starts in Dandong City, Liaoning Province in the east, passes through Jilin, Heilongjiang, and Inner Mongolia, and reaches Altay in Xinjiang, with a total length of more than 9,300 kilometers, linking the three provinces and two autonomous regions along its route. Within Heilongjiang Province, National Highway G331 deepens the integration of transportation and tourism planning, road-landscape integration, functional integration, transportation-tourism integration, management integration, and industrial integration; adheres to the principle of stringing beads into a chain; connects the scattered tourism resources along the route through the highway; focuses on building must-visit core scenic areas; radiates to and drives surrounding scenic areas; forms a belt-shaped corridor tourism route with large and small circulation loops; and ultimately creates a tourism layout like a pearl necklace, linking points by lines and radiating to areas, thereby driving tourism consumption across the province and improving the quality ratings of scenic areas along the route.

The Xunke-Sunwu Boundary to Heihe Section Reconstruction and Expansion Project of National Highway Dan'a Highway starts from the endpoint of the Xunke to Xun-Sun Boundary Section of the Dan'a Highway and ends at the Heihe City ring road, connecting with the Heihe to Woniu Lake Section of the Dan'a Highway. It is planned to be completed and opened to traffic in 2026. The route has a total length of 113 kilometers, including 33 kilometers of first-class highway and 80 kilometers of second-class highway, with 32 mainline bridges, 216 culverts, 2 service areas, 3 parking bays, 1 viewing platform, 2 maintenance road crews, and 14 stops.

The Xunke-Sunwu Boundary to Heihe Section Reconstruction and Expansion Project of National Highway Dan'a Highway is an important component of the "Most Beautiful Longjiang 331 Border Defense Road" project and is the main transportation artery connecting the border port city of Heihe with Xunke County. Once completed, the project will improve the highway network of Heihe City and is of great significance for promoting economic development along the route and the development of the transportation-tourism integration industry.
