Recently, Wan Li, Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia, and a delegation of 16 people visited the site of the Tunisia Mellegue Dam Project undertaken by Sinohydro Bureau 15 Co., Ltd. to conduct research and provide guidance.

The Wan Li delegation went deep into the project site and listened to the project manager's report on the construction progress, construction plan, and expected results of the Mellegue project. They gained a detailed understanding of the project's engineering technology innovation practices, rational resource allocation, and achievements of cooperation with the Tunisian side, and fully affirmed the achievements of the project team. He expressed the hope that all parties will continue to maintain efficient collaboration, ensure project safety and quality, fulfill corporate social responsibilities, shoulder the responsibility of spreading China's story and demonstrating Chinese wisdom, and contribute PowerChina's strength to promoting the in-depth implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Subsequently, the two sides held discussions and exchanges on multiple fields including situation analysis, consular policy, youth work, consular protection, and economic development between China and Tunisia, explored the challenges and opportunities faced by the Belt and Road construction under the current situation, and promoted the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Consular Protection and Assistance.Through this discussion and exchange, the PowerChina team further studied the concepts of international cooperation and development strategy guidelines, and enhanced their international perspective.
