On December 3, the completion acceptance meeting for the Chaoxi Reservoir Project in Dejiang County was held in Tongren.

　　The meeting heard reports on the situation from the participating construction units, the quality supervision unit, the safety appraisal unit, and the Dejiang County Government, as well as the supervision and appraisal conclusions and the opinions from the stage acceptance, and was briefed on the opinions of the acceptance committee.

　　The meeting held that the construction of the Chaoxi Reservoir Project complies with the provisions of relevant national laws, regulations, and approval documents; the project design meets the requirements of national and industry codes and standards; and all indicators, including the main structures, construction quality, flood control and flood-season measures, and emergency plans for water storage, meet the required conditions. It was agreed that the Chaoxi Reservoir Project in Dejiang County passes the completion acceptance.

　　It is reported that the Chaoxi Reservoir Project in Dejiang County is a project aided by the national tobacco authority. The reservoir is located in Dawan Village, Quankou Town, Dejiang County, on the Lengxi River, a tributary of the Yangshan River in the Mati River basin of the Wujiang River system. The reservoir has a total storage capacity of 2.19 million cubic meters, and the total project investment is 132.9 million yuan, including 63.8618 million yuan in tobacco-aided funds and 69.0382 million yuan in matching funds from the local government. It is a small (Class I) reservoir mainly serving farmland irrigation and rural drinking water for people and livestock. Construction started in July 2017, and the gates were closed for official impoundment in September 2023.

　　With the official operation of the Chaoxi Reservoir Project, the irrigation of 12,000 mu of grain fields and the drinking water problem for 12,500 people in the three townships of Quankou, Gaoshan, and Changfeng have been truly and effectively solved, providing solid water conservancy support for the high-quality economic and social development of the area.
