On November 28, the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo's "Into Africa (Nigeria)" event and the 18th China Engineering Technology Exhibition opened at the Abuja Trade and Convention Centre in Nigeria.

More than 100 enterprises exhibited at this event, including China Communications Construction Company, Power Construction Corporation of China, China Energy Engineering Corporation, China Railway Signal & Communication, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, China Harbour Engineering Company, China Road and Bridge Corporation, China Geo-Engineering Corporation Overseas, Guangxi Liugong Machinery, as well as enterprises from multiple industries in Hunan Province. Yu Dunhai, Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria; Lai Mingyong, Vice Chairman of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; Fang Qiuchen, Chairman of the China International Contractors Association; and Wang Weidong, Vice President of the China Development Bank; together with Nigeria's Minister of Transportation Alhaji Alkali, Director-General of the Nigeria-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Tegbe, Minister of State for Works Goronyo, Chairman of the Nigeria-China Relations Committee of the House of Representatives Ja'afaru, and government officials from both China and Nigeria, jointly cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony.

After the opening ceremony, the attending guests toured the exhibition together, stopping at the booths of participating enterprises to exchange views and learn about their business development and future prospects in Nigeria, and highly praised the positive contributions made by the exhibiting enterprises to Nigeria's economic and social development and to China-Nigeria bilateral relations.

This exhibition featured multiple zones, including infrastructure, new energy, machinery, building materials, power transmission and transformation, and manufacturing. Exhibitors carefully built their booths and presented displays in various forms such as physical exhibits, models, multimedia, and images, showcasing the brand image, technical level, and comprehensive strength of Chinese contractors, as well as landmark achievements in international cooperation.

The China Engineering Technology Exhibition is an important platform for showcasing, overseas, the comprehensive strength and international cooperation achievements of enterprises in China's international contracting industry and related industrial chains. It aims to promote the "Built by China" brand globally, facilitate mutually beneficial cooperation between China and countries around the world in infrastructure and related fields, and serve Chinese enterprises in exploring international markets. This exhibition was jointly organized by the China International Contractors Association and the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, with the aim of implementing the outcomes of the 2024 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and pragmatically driving China-Nigeria economic and trade cooperation to a new level.
