Recently, the results of the 2024 "Overseas Engineering Camp Showcase" activity organized by the China International Contractors Association were freshly released. The Rabigh Phase IV Seawater Desalination EPC Project in Saudi Arabia, submitted by SEPCOIII, was awarded "Overseas Engineering Demonstration Camp," and the Saudi Red Sea Utilities Infrastructure Project was awarded "Overseas Engineering Benchmark Camp." The award selection aims to fully showcase Chinese enterprises' overseas project management capabilities and their humanistic care for builders, shape the excellent image of Chinese engineering construction enterprises under the "Belt and Road" initiative, and enhance the overall level of China's overseas engineering camp construction.

The Rabigh Phase IV Seawater Desalination EPC Project is located in Rabigh City on the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia. The project has a daily water production capacity of 600,000 cubic meters. Once completed, it can provide basic domestic water to more than 2 million households and pilgrims in major Saudi cities such as Jeddah and Mecca, alleviating the increasingly tight water demand in western Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Red Sea Utilities Infrastructure Project is a key project under Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030" plan. It is the first time Saudi Arabia has carried out public utility construction under the PPP model, and it is also the first comprehensive project undertaken by a Chinese enterprise in Saudi Arabia. The project focuses on clean energy and environmental protection and is committed to green, pollution-free energy supply, including numerous modules such as photovoltaics, energy storage, power grids, seawater desalination, water supply networks, wastewater treatment, wastewater pipe networks, solid waste treatment, communications, and district cooling. Among them, the Red Sea New City energy storage project has a storage capacity of up to 1,300 MWh, making it the world's largest off-grid energy storage project. It can enable the Red Sea tourism area to rely entirely on renewable energy for power supply, achieving fully clean-energy off-grid power supply.

An overseas engineering camp with scientific planning, complete functional facilities, and a clean and tidy environment is not only a manifestation of the hard power of project management level, but also an international display of soft power such as corporate brand and image, and moreover a warm overseas home for engineering builders. SEPCOIII's overseas projects have been awarded this honor for many consecutive years. This is not only full affirmation of the company's overall level of overseas project management and camp construction, but also high recognition of the company's efforts in jointly building the "Belt and Road" and shaping a good corporate image.
