Currently, the whole country has entered the golden period of winter water conservancy construction, with all regions advancing major water conservancy project construction and accelerating the construction and renovation of irrigation districts, laying a solid foundation for next year's grain production increase.

　　The construction of the Yangtze-Han River Water Diversion Project, the first project to start under the follow-up water source works of the South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Route, is being comprehensively accelerated. At present, the main tunnel has been excavated for more than 3.1 kilometers, and the total excavation of construction adits along the route has exceeded 14.7 kilometers. Recently, the main drive, the key core component of the second hard rock tunnel boring machine "Jianghan Ping'an" for the Yangtze-Han River Water Diversion Project, successfully arrived at the construction site in Yichang City, Hubei Province, after six days of transport. The remaining components are expected to arrive before the end of November, and after assembly is completed before the end of February next year, the machine is planned to undertake the tunneling task for the water conveyance tunnel of the Yangtze-Han River Water Diversion Project. In Huai'an, Jiangsu, the Huai'an hub project of the second phase of the Huai River Seaward Channel Project will soon close off the Huai River Seaward Channel to prepare for the construction of the main project. At the construction site, workers are busy carrying out deep channel excavation and reinforcement of the north and south dikes.

　　Recently, construction officially started on the diversion tunnel engineering section of the Guxian Water Conservancy Project on the Yellow River, a key backbone hub project in the Yellow River water and sediment regulation system, marking that the project has entered a brand-new construction milestone. The latest data released by the Ministry of Water Resources show that from January to October this year, 45,400 water conservancy projects were implemented nationwide, a year-on-year increase of 15.1%, and investment completed has exceeded 1 trillion yuan. Among them, the Ministry of Water Resources, together with the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance, arranged more than 110 billion yuan in central funds to support the implementation of more than 1,300 irrigation district construction and renovation projects. Up to now, more than 99 billion yuan of central investment has been completed.
