In the upsurge of construction for Phase I, Step 1 of the Xiangjiaba project undertaken by Sinohydro Bureau 5, the builders are not only committed to the high-quality construction of water conservancy facilities but also actively fulfill their social responsibilities. Recently, after learning that damaged village roads near the project site were affecting villagers' transportation, the project department took the initiative to repair an important village road for the local villagers, winning widespread praise from them.

The village road is located near the project camp and serves as an important passage for local villagers' daily travel, agricultural production, and material transportation. Due to prolonged use, long-term vehicle traffic, and natural erosion, the road surface had developed many damaged sections and potholes. Especially during the rainy season, standing water and mud made passage extremely difficult, causing great inconvenience to the villagers' production and daily life.

Upon learning of the situation, the project department used overtime hours to launch the village road repair project and also temporarily built an additional road leading to the villagers' homes. During construction, the project department consistently adhered to the principle of "safety first, quality foremost," organizing the work carefully and strictly controlling quality. At the same time, the project department actively communicated with the villagers to understand their actual needs and ensure that the repaired road would truly solve their travel difficulties.

After intensive and orderly construction, the severely damaged village road took on a completely new look, with a leveled surface and smooth drainage, greatly improving the villagers' travel conditions. The villagers said one after another that the repair of this road had completely freed them from the travel predicament of "covered in dust on sunny days and covered in mud on rainy days."
