On November 13, at the construction site of the Wangjiazhai Hub Interchange Project of the TJ-4 section of the Wudang (Yangchang) to Changshun Expressway Project (hereinafter referred to as the "Wuchang Expressway") located in Qingzhen City, Guiyang, engineering vehicles entered and exited in an orderly manner, workers were busy with construction at full speed, and the project construction was in full swing.
The TJ-4 section of the Wuchang Expressway Project is invested and constructed by China Railway Construction Kunlun Investment Group and undertaken by the Second Engineering Co., Ltd. of China Railway 11th Bureau Group. The main line is 10.537 kilometers long, with two interchanges and one parking area, including 31 bridges, 1 connecting line bridge, 42 culverts, and 1,899 precast T-beams.
"At present, the steel box girders of the project have been assembled. Workers are currently conducting ultrasonic testing of the pile foundations to check the construction quality of the pile foundations. Next, construction will proceed on the bridge ramp piers, bent caps, and steel box girder incremental launching. It is expected that by the end of December this year, the incremental launching of the steel box girder over the Guiqian Expressway will be completed, achieving the smooth connection of the main line of this section." Yang Liuzai, deputy production manager of the Civil Engineering Section 4 project of the Wuchang Expressway of the Second Company of China Railway 11th Bureau, introduced that because the construction projects within the section need to cross over the Guiqian Expressway and the Chengdu-Guiyang Railway, the project construction faces certain difficulties.
According to the introduction, during the project construction, in order to ensure the quality and progress of the project, the Civil Engineering Section 4 of the Wuchang Expressway of the Second Company of China Railway 11th Bureau formed a technical team of 28 people, which was divided into groups to inspect the construction progress and quality of each node process and conduct process inspection and acceptance, so as to ensure the safe, efficient, and smooth completion of the project.
"The current engineering construction technology is relatively mature. Through scientific planning, in the incremental launching construction of the newly built steel box girder ramp bridge over the Guiqian Expressway, while ensuring the construction progress, we also ensured the normal traffic of the Guiqian Expressway," Yang Liuzai said. Through the construction control of the technical plan, the difficulties faced in the project have also been solved one by one.
According to the introduction, the Wuchang Expressway is a major transportation infrastructure project of Guizhou's "strengthening the provincial capital" strategic action. After the project is completed, it will be of great significance to promoting the construction of the main framework of Guiyang's "five-ring, eighteen-radial" expressway network and the one-to-two-hour metropolitan traffic circle. Residents along the line can access the expressway in half an hour and reach the airport in one hour, effectively enhancing the province's transportation capacity, forming a convenient large channel connecting national trunk expressways such as Lanhai, Hukun, and Yinbai, and effectively driving the economic and social development of the areas along the line. "Construction has entered the fourth quarter, the final sprint stage of the year. We will make good use of every day, grasp the project construction, make good resource allocation, invest manpower and material resources, ensure that the construction tasks are completed within the time limit, sprint toward the annual construction target, and deliver a high-quality answer sheet that satisfies the people of Guizhou, is affirmed by the owner, and gives the company peace of mind," Yang Liuzai introduced. With the joint efforts of more than 100 management personnel and nearly 400 construction workers, the Civil Engineering Section 4 of the Wuchang Expressway has completed 97% of the construction progress, and the remaining project tasks are being advanced in an orderly manner.
