The "Deep Sea No. 1" energy station, "Sea Anemone No. 1", the 12,000-tonne offshore crane vessel "Zhenhua 30"... On November 8, the 7th International Diving Rescue and Marine Engineering Equipment Exhibition opened at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center, with more than 50 major national heavy equipment items on display.

With the theme of "Accelerating the Formation of New Quality Productive Forces and Boosting High-Quality Development of the Marine Economy", this year's exhibition will, through one exhibition, two investment promotion matchmaking meetings and three forums and seminars, help enhance the level of China's new quality productive forces in the diving rescue and marine engineering industry in serving global underwater operations, marine engineering equipment manufacturing, emergency rescue and other fields, and advance government-enterprise and university-enterprise cooperation as well as integrated development of industry, academia, research and application within the industry.

Representatives and experts from local transport authorities, member units of China Rescue and Salvage, fire rescue and other systems, maritime-related central state-owned enterprises such as CNOOC and shipbuilding groups, leading private enterprises in the industry, research institutes, maritime-related universities, as well as from the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries and the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions gathered together to jointly discuss the high-quality development of diving rescue and marine engineering technologies in emergency rescue, underwater operations and other areas.

This year's exhibition brings together more than 7,000 exhibits and services, including more than 50 major national heavy equipment items — the "Deep Sea No. 1" energy station, which has achieved a historic leap in China's deep-sea oil and gas exploration and development from 300 meters to 1,500 meters of ultra-deep water; "Sea Anemone No. 1", which marks a major breakthrough in key technologies for the independent design and construction of China's deepwater oil and gas equipment... The exhibition has attracted more than 300 exhibitors, including China National Offshore Oil Corporation and China State Shipbuilding Corporation, and features 12 high-tech exhibition zones covering marine engineering vessels, rescue vessels, offshore new energy equipment, marine fisheries and more. On the first day, nearly 26,000 visits were made to the venue for tours and negotiations.

As the most influential brand exhibition in China's diving rescue and marine engineering field, this year's exhibition is approved by the Ministry of Commerce and jointly hosted by the China Diving and Salvage Contractors Association (CDSA), the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) and the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA). This year marks the tenth year of tripartite cooperation among the associations. On the opening day of the exhibition, the 9th International Diving Rescue and Marine Engineering Equipment Technology Forum will be held concurrently, at which CDSA, ADCI and IMCA will sign a memorandum of cooperation.

It is reported that this year's exhibition is held concurrently with the 2024 East Asian Seas Congress and the 2024 Xiamen International Ocean Week. The theme of the congress is "Blue Collaboration for a Shared Future: A Sustainable and Resilient Ocean". The holding of the conference will help further strengthen the development of the ocean through science and technology, industry, ecological protection and opening-up, and build a higher-level "Maritime Fujian".
