On November 1, the first pile foundation of the Caimei Interchange Reconstruction Project, constructed by CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., was successfully poured, marking the official start of comprehensive construction.
Located in Futian District, Shenzhen, the project is a combination of the Caitian-Meilin Interchange and the Beihuan-Caitian Interchange. The reconstruction involves Caitian Road, Beihuan Avenue, and Meilin Road. It plans to demolish the existing Caitian Road mainline bridge and rebuild it from four lanes in both directions to six lanes. It is a large-scale urban interchange renewal and reconstruction project integrating "urban comprehensive pipeline relocation, passages, new bridge construction, and bridge demolition." Among them, the Caitian Road reconstruction is 1.40 kilometers long, and the total length of new bridges and culverts in the interchange is about 1.92 kilometers. Upon completion, it will further improve the traffic turning functions of the Caitian-Meilin-Beihuan Interchange, and is of great significance for strengthening the external traffic connection of the Meilin area and realizing the rapid transit main corridor of the central axis.
To ensure the smooth construction of the first pile foundation, in the face of issues such as delayed pipeline relocation, complex traffic diversion, and difficulties in handling construction procedures, the project department actively coordinated with the owner and continuously visited relevant units to promptly complete various procedures. During construction, the project team strictly controlled safety and quality key points. From pile positioning, drilling, and hole cleaning to the fabrication and installation of reinforcement cages and concrete pouring, they organized technical briefings and safety training for construction personnel, arranged professional technical personnel for full-process supervision and guidance, and actively ensured the effective connection of various processes. With the joint efforts of all participating parties, the pouring construction of the first pile foundation was successfully completed.
