During this year's National Day holiday, multiple high-speed rail construction projects in Gaoming District stepped up their advancement, accelerating the pace of construction!

Zhuzhao High-Speed Railway Gaoming Station is located in Dongheng Village, Hecheng Subdistrict, Gaoming District. Recently, the C49-C50 cast-in-place girder on the north side has just completed concrete pouring, and workers are sprinkling water and laying plastic film to cure the girder after pouring. On the other side, workers are tying rebar on pier bodies with formwork already laid, preparing for the subsequent bridge pouring.

Section 6 of the Jiangmen to Pearl River Delta Hub (Guangzhou New) Airport section of the Zhuzhao High-Speed Railway is more than 18 kilometers long, of which about 600 meters is located in Heshan, Jiangmen, and the remaining 17.5 kilometers are all in Gaoming, Foshan. This section of railway has 5 tunnels and 5 extra-large bridges. To avoid affecting the construction schedule, during the National Day period the project department arranged sufficient personnel at each construction node to carry out work.

"During the National Day period we carried out construction as normal. At the same time, construction of the bridge substructure was underway, including pile foundation construction and cap and pier body construction, while the superstructure mainly involved construction of the cast-in-place girder group," said Ding Liqi, person in charge of the construction site of the Second Sub-department of the Section 6 Project Department of the Jiangmen-Airport Section of the Zhuzhao High-Speed Railway under China Railway Seventh Group.

During this year's National Day Golden Week, multiple construction nodes of several high-speed rail construction projects in Gaoming District achieved breakthroughs. For the Zhuzhao High-Speed Railway, these included the smooth breakthrough of Shizailing No. 1 Tunnel, the smooth completion of the first slab of secondary lining concrete pouring at the exit of Qinggang No. 2 Tunnel, and the smooth closure of the T-shaped continuous girder of the extra-large bridge crossing Chashan Highway. Among them, the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway project saw the completion of the closure of the continuous girder crossing the planned Zhaoming Expressway on the extra-large bridge crossing Songlong River.

The Zhuzhao High-Speed Railway is the first 350 km/h high-speed railway independently invested in, constructed, and managed by Guangdong Province, and is also a key project in the rail transit construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. After the project is completed, major cities along the route in the Pearl River Delta will be connected within one hour. The Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway is an important component of the coastal railway passenger transport corridor in China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network. Its airport section leads westward from the end of the extra-large bridge crossing the Xijiang River into Gaoming, Foshan, passes through the Lingyun Mountain Tunnel and crosses the Pearl River Delta Ring Expressway to Huilong Town in Gaoyao, then turns south to the Pearl River Delta Hub Airport Station in Gaoming, and then enters Xinxing, Yunfu, with a total length of 78.78 kilometers.

Zhuzhao High-Speed Railway: Two Continuous Girders Successively Closed
Recently, the continuous girder crossing Provincial Highway S297 of the extra-large bridge crossing Guangming Expressway in Section 6 of the Jiangmen-Airport Section of the Zhuzhao High-Speed Railway, and the continuous girder crossing Yangmei River of the Gaoming Extra-Large Bridge, both invested in by Zhuzhao Railway Company under the Provincial Railway Investment Group and constructed by China Railway Seventh Group, were successively closed, marking breakthrough progress in the project construction.
It is understood that both continuous girders were constructed using the cantilever casting method with form travelers and are major and difficult control works. The continuous girder crossing Provincial Highway S297 is part of the extra-large bridge crossing Guangming Expressway in the Jiangmen-Airport Section of the Zhuzhao High-Speed Railway, which has a total length of 2.9 kilometers. The continuous girder crossing Provincial Highway S297 at Piers 52-55 has a total length of 244 meters and adopts a span arrangement of (64+116+64) meters.
The continuous girder of this bridge crossing Provincial Highway S297 has a 116-meter main span crossing the S297 Provincial Highway, which is under reconstruction, involving cross-operation with it. The construction site is densely covered with ponds, the working area is narrow, and the construction height is more than 30 meters.

  Continuous Girder Crossing Yangmei River
The Gaoming Extra-Large Bridge has a total length of 5.9 kilometers. The continuous girder crossing Yangmei River at Piers 82-87 has a total length of 312 meters and adopts a span arrangement of (44+3×72+44) meters.

  Gaoming Extra-Large Bridge Under Construction
The three 72-meter main spans of the continuous girder of this bridge crossing Yangmei River respectively cross the Yangmei River channel and the river embankments on both sides. Located between the two lines of the Gaoming Extra-Large Bridge in the Gaozhao Section, the closest distance of cross-operation is less than 4 meters, so the bridge construction has high safety risks and great construction difficulty.
The construction of the two continuous girders was exceptionally difficult. In addition, the alternating high temperature, high humidity, and typhoon weather in Guangdong brought great challenges to the continuous girder construction.
The smooth closure of the two continuous girders this time marks key breakthroughs in the two projects, and the progress of the projects will be further accelerated.
