On August 19, the list of winning projects for the 2024 Anhui Provincial Construction Project "Huangshan Cup" Award was announced, and the Phase II project of the Chuzhou-Nanjing Intercity Railway, constructed by the First Engineering Co., Ltd. of China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group, was among them.

The "Huangshan Cup" Award is the highest award for construction project quality in Anhui Province. All winning projects are projects with standardized construction, advanced design and construction, excellent quality, and safe and reliable operation, and their project quality has reached the leading level within the province.

The Chuzhou-Nanjing Intercity Railway is the country's first cross-provincial intercity railway. It starts in the west at Chuzhou High-Speed Railway Station in Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, and ends at the planned Nanjing North Station in Nanjing, with a total line length of 54.6 kilometers. Among them, the Phase I and Phase II projects of the Chuzhou-Nanjing Intercity Railway (Chuzhou section), constructed by the First Engineering Co., Ltd. of China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group, have a total line length of about 17.08 kilometers. Since construction began in 2020, more than a thousand builders from China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group have united as one and overcome difficulties, overcoming the impacts of factors such as the pandemic, land acquisition and demolition, pipeline relocation, and traffic diversion, strengthening construction organization and safety and quality, and successfully completing the construction task in more than 1,600 days.

As a landmark project for the interconnection of transportation infrastructure in the Yangtze River Delta region, it carries the expectations of tens of millions of people in both places. The Chuzhou-Nanjing Intercity Railway has created a "major artery" for the integrated development of Chuzhou and Nanjing, promoted the accelerated flow of regional resource factors, industrial factors, talent factors, and technological factors, and provided strong support for the higher-quality development of Chuzhou and Nanjing.
