Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the Ministry of Natural Resources jointly issued the Notice on Solidly Advancing the Construction of Embedded Service Facilities in Urban Communities, incorporating 56 cities including Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, into the construction scope of the project and setting out deployment requirements for advancing the construction work.

　　The Notice specifies that all localities should orient themselves to the needs of the public, focus on the "elderly and children," and step up the construction of embedded community service facilities. They should actively develop community elderly care services providing short-term respite care and infant and toddler childcare services, refine and improve policy measures on expanding facility construction site space, advancing the renovation and utilization of existing social resources, service integration and functional consolidation, and support for planned construction land, and coordinate the planning of project construction and subsequent operation services, so as to promote high-quality and sustainable development of community services.

　　Next, the National Development and Reform Commission will work with relevant departments to strengthen guidance on the construction work, coordinate various funding channels, and increase support for project implementation, so that more people can enjoy high-quality, inclusive, and convenient public services at their "doorstep."
