Recently, it was learned from the Sanya Municipal Development and Reform Commission that the city added 8,690 school places for primary and secondary schools and kindergartens in 2024, plans to allocate 5,044 units of affordable housing for the whole year, and has 152 livelihood projects with a total investment of approximately 55.1 billion yuan, continuously accelerating the pace of livelihood project construction.
　　Lucheng has issued the "Implementation Plan for the Sanya Municipal Livelihood Construction Improvement Project," focusing on advancing key projects in ten areas, including the coverage rate of inclusive kindergartens, new public school places in primary and secondary schools and kindergartens, the real growth rate of per capita disposable income for urban and rural residents, the number of practicing (assistant) physicians per 1,000 permanent residents, the health management rate for people over 65, the number of regional elderly care service centers built in each district, the number of elderly care beds per 1,000 elderly people, the proportion of nursing-care beds for the elderly per 1,000 elderly people, the number of affordable housing units built, and the coverage rate of living assistance for low-income populations.
　　At present, Sanya has added 8,690 school places through newly built and expanded schools, including 10 newly built kindergartens with 1,350 new places and 4 newly built primary and secondary schools with 7,160 new places. Sanya's existing affordable housing construction projects have reached 25,000 units. In 2024, it plans to allocate 9 affordable housing projects, totaling 5,044 units of affordable housing, of which 3,378 units have already been allocated.
　　It is reported that Sanya is currently advancing the implementation of 152 livelihood projects, including 43 education projects, 26 health projects, 35 culture and sports projects, 32 social security projects, and 16 housing security projects.
