On September 6, the Siming Tunnel of the LWZQ-6 section of the Guangxi Liu-Wu Railway was successfully holed through, marking the third tunnel breakthrough in this section.

The Siming Tunnel passes through an area with fractured rock masses, developed joints and fissures, and poor surrounding rock stability. The portal section is subject to bias pressure and bedding, making it prone to hazards such as sliding collapse and cave-ins. To steadily advance the tunnel construction, the management team of the Liu-Wu Railway Section 6 project, under the guidance of Liuwu Company, the Liuzhou Construction Command, the supervision unit, and other relevant units, strictly followed the construction principles of "advanced pipe roofing, strict grouting, short excavation, weak blasting, strong support, early closure, and frequent measurement." They overcame difficulties through various means, including optimizing technical plans, strengthening penetrating safety management, enhancing advanced geological forecasting, intensifying monitoring of key procedures, and scientifically organizing summer construction, thereby effectively ensuring the tunnel's breakthrough on schedule.

It is reported that, up to now, Section 6 of the Liu-Wu Railway has completed several key construction milestones, including the breakthrough of three tunnels, the erection of T-beams for the Shizui Mahe Bridge, and the closure of the continuous girder of the Tianliao Grand Bridge crossing the Liu-Wu Pingnan Connecting Line. Next, Section 6 of the Liu-Wu Railway will work together to implement a combination of measures to "ensure safety, enhance quality, and accelerate progress," striving to meet the annual output target.
