Recently, the new construction project of the Yindu Road Cross-River Tunnel, invested in and built by Shanghai Chengtou Highway, has continued to advance. Builders are pressing ahead with the installation of electromechanical equipment and specialized decoration work inside the tunnel, with electromechanical installation in the northbound tunnel now in its final stage.

According to reports, electromechanical installation is the most core and most complicated construction task in the final stage of cross-river tunnel construction, covering lighting, ventilation, fire protection, decoration and many other construction works.

The Yindu Road Tunnel is a dual-tube, double-deck cross-river tunnel, divided into two main tunnels, southbound and northbound. As of now, electromechanical installation in the northbound tunnel is about 90% complete, and the installation of equipment and pipelines for each electromechanical system is basically finished. The northbound tunnel is about to enter the final commissioning stage, laying a solid foundation for the overall completion of the northbound tunnel.

At the same time, in the southbound tunnel, the fireproof panels and the keels for decorative panels have been installed, and pipelines for each electromechanical system are also being installed in an intensive and orderly manner.

The new construction project of the Shanghai Yindu Road Cross-River Tunnel is an important passage connecting Xuhui District, Minhang District and Pudong New Area. Once completed, the Yindu Road Tunnel will be of great significance for improving Shanghai's road network system, advancing suburban urbanization, and alleviating traffic pressure on the Xinzhuang Interchange and the western and southern sections of S20.
