On August 29, a reporter learned from Xi'an Rail Transit Group that on August 28, with the completion of the final concrete pour, Gudu West Station on the first phase of Xi'an Metro Line 15 was successfully capped. With this, all 13 stations along the entire line have been capped, marking another major engineering milestone for the first phase of Line 15 following the full-line "tunnel breakthrough" on August 16.

According to the introduction, Gudu West Station is an interchange station between Line 6 and Line 15. The station is located west of the intersection of Xitai Road and Weidou Road, with a main body approximately 251 meters long, built as a reinforced concrete frame structure. During construction, Xi'an Rail Transit Group actively communicated with departments at all levels in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, and relevant property rights units to determine reasonable land acquisition and utility relocation plans, organized participating units to plan meticulously and manage scientifically, eliminated the adverse effects brought by the external environment, advanced construction operations in an orderly manner, and ultimately successfully achieved the capping of the station's main structure.

According to the introduction, since construction began on the first phase of Xi'an Metro Line 15, under the strong leadership of the Xi'an Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government and with the vigorous support of the districts along the route, Xi'an Rail Transit Group has adhered to the construction philosophy that "building a metro is building a city," organizing rationally, planning meticulously, and innovating construction methods to fully advance the project. At present, the entire line has achieved "tunnel breakthrough," more than half of track laying in the running tunnels has been completed, mechanical and electrical installation and decoration works have been fully launched, and the fully automated demonstration section has ahead of schedule achieved the "power supply" milestone and the three-link milestone for the communications system.

The first phase of Xi'an Metro Line 15 has a total length of 19.46 kilometers, running from Xiliu Station in the west to Hanjiawan Station in the east, with 13 stations in total. It connects the High-tech Zone, Chang'an District, and the Aerospace Base, and is a major passenger flow corridor in the southern part of the main urban area. Once completed, it will not only meet the basic travel needs of residents in the High-tech Zone, Chang'an District, and the Aerospace Base, but also cover many universities along the West Chang'an Street section and in the surrounding university town area. It will effectively alleviate traffic pressure in the area, further improve the rail transit network system, and enhance the level of rail transit services.
