According to the "Notice and Reporting Work Mechanism for 'Red Flag Projects' and 'Snail Projects' among Meizhou's Key Projects and Investment Promotion", the Municipal Party Committee Office and the Municipal Government Office recently issued a notice on the situation of key engineering projects in the second quarter of 2024 and the "Red Flag Projects" and "Snail Projects" in investment promotion in the first half of the year.
　　The notice shows that in the second quarter of 2024, a total of 10 key engineering projects were designated as "Red Flag Projects". Among them, 7 projects completed investment of 100 million yuan or more in the quarter, namely: the Standard Factory Building Construction Project in Fengshun County Economic Development Zone, the Meizhou West to Longchuan Section of the Longyan-Meizhou-Longchuan Railway, the Reconstruction Project of the Songyuan to Yanyang Section (Provincial Border Corridor) of S223 in Meixian District, the Standard Factory Buildings and Supporting Infrastructure Construction Project (Phase II) of Guangdong Meizhou Economic Development Zone, the Phase II of Meizhou Pumped Storage Power Station, the Huafa Modern Agriculture (Meizhou) Demonstration Base Project in Meixian District, and the Meizhou Academy of Medical Sciences Building Construction Project. There were 3 projects that completed investment of less than 100 million yuan in the quarter, namely: Fengshun County Sports Park, the Phase II Construction of General Standard Factory Buildings and Supporting Infrastructure Project of Meizhou Jiaohua Industrial Transfer Park, and the Guangdong Huahong Biological Health Construction Project in Jiaoling County. A total of 5 key projects were designated as "Snail Projects", namely: the Lianzeng Bridge Construction Project in Wuhua County, the "Smart City" New Infrastructure Construction Project in Meixian District, the Disease Prevention and Control Center Construction Project in Meijiang District, the Reconstruction Project of the Gaopi Chishan to Taohua Section of S227 in Dabu County, and the Church Reservoir Project in Fengshun County.
　　The units of the "Red Flag Projects" in investment promotion in the first half of 2024 are the Pingyuan County Government and the Meixian District Government; there were no "Snail Project" units.
　　The notice points out that it is hoped that the "Red Flag Project" units will cherish their honors, continue to intensify efforts to advance key project construction and investment promotion work, and make greater contributions to the city's economic development; the responsible units of the "Snail Projects" should strive to catch up, earnestly analyze the root causes of the problems in the "Snail Projects", and firmly grasp the work of factor guarantees and coordinated advancement to ensure the smooth progress of the projects.
