On August 27, with the final pour of concrete for slot No. 178 of the cutoff wall of the Xiaohexi Reservoir Reinforcement Project completed, the cutoff wall construction of the Xiaohexi Reservoir Reinforcement Project was fully finished, marking that the completion rate of national bond investment exceeded 95%. The planned construction period of the cutoff wall and the payment rate of national bond funds were completed 30 days ahead of the expected targets!

As the main construction content of the Xiaohexi Reservoir Reinforcement Project, the cutoff wall is an important component of the dam body seepage control treatment and directly determines the seepage prevention effect at the dam foundation.

Since the start of the project, despite numerous difficulties such as relatively narrow construction sites, numerous cross-operation work faces, a tight construction schedule, and high construction difficulty during the flood season, the project department planned ahead, made careful arrangements, and coordinated resources from all parties to ensure construction progress.

After entering the main flood season in June, Tongliao City experienced continuous heavy rainfall. The extreme severe weather did not slow down construction progress. While strictly implementing all flood control measures, the project department carried out labor skills competitions and implemented 24-hour "multiple shift" uninterrupted construction, surpassing the target of pouring 63 trench sections in the peak month and completing the cutoff wall construction of the Xiaohexi Reservoir Reinforcement Project 30 days ahead of schedule. At the same time, project safety production, flood control, quality control, civilized and environmental protection work, and other tasks advanced simultaneously and efficiently.
