Recently, with a rumbling roar, the shield machine's cutterhead broke through the soil, and the shield-driven section from Shuiquan Station to the intermediate ventilation shaft on the eastern extension of Shenyang Metro Line 1 was completed, marking that the eastern extension of Metro Line 1 has achieved a major construction milestone and successfully realized "hole-through." The section from Dongling Park Station to Shuiquan Station on the eastern extension of Shenyang Metro Line 1 is the 7th section of the line, with a total length of about 1,616 meters, and is also the longest section of the line. The construction difficulty of this section lies not only in its length, but more importantly in the complexity of the underground structures. According to reports, the construction route passes through multiple risk sources along the way, and at the same time the right line of the metro runs parallel to a gas pipeline over a long distance, which increased the construction difficulty. In response to the key and difficult points of section construction, the construction unit adjusted construction techniques to ensure that shield construction would be completed according to the schedule plan. Yang Yang introduced that by adopting a series of measures such as continuous backfill grouting of the rear segment, modification of the screw conveyor discharge port, addition of a pressure relief valve to the screw conveyor, dispersant soaking of the chamber, customized hydraulic slurry pumps for professional sand extraction, and installation of dewatering wells along the section, the occurrence of water and mud inrush during tunneling and the amount of mud fall were effectively reduced, mud cleaning efficiency was improved, and safe and smooth construction was ensured. Next, the eastern extension of Metro Line 1 will accelerate the various finishing works at the stations, reach track-laying conditions as soon as possible, and ensure that the year-end "track-through" milestone target is achieved on schedule.
