Beijing, August 25 (Xinhua) — Reporters learned from China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) that the Bohai Bay's **large gas field with reserves of 100 billion cubic meters — the Bozhong 19-6 gas field — has produced a cumulative total of more than 1 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
The Bozhong 19-6 gas field is located in the central waters of the Bohai Sea, where the average water depth is about 20 meters. It is **the first large, integrated 100-billion-cubic-meter gas field in eastern China. At present, six offshore oil and gas platforms have been built, with peak daily natural gas output reaching 2.4 million cubic meters. As the project construction advances steadily, researchers have further deepened their understanding of the gas field's reservoir distribution patterns and reservoir geological characteristics.
