From January to July this year, a total of 11,403 China-Europe freight trains were operated nationwide, of which 9,175 China-Europe (Central Asia) freight trains passed through Xinjiang, up 8.4% year on year, fully demonstrating its important position in China-Europe economic and trade cooperation. Recently, the number of China-Europe freight trains passing through the Horgos Port reached 5,000, 11 days earlier than last year, providing strong support for unblocking the major international logistics corridor and high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road."

Horgos is located on the border between China's Xinjiang and Kazakhstan, and is an important node of the ancient Silk Road. In recent years, relying on its unique geographical advantages and policy support, Horgos has become an important hub for China-Europe freight trains, playing an important role in promoting regional economic cooperation between China and Central Asian and European countries. Since the beginning of this year, the Xinjiang railway department has optimized the transport organization of China-Europe (Central Asia) freight trains and improved the quality of their operation, attracting an increasing number of China-Europe (Central Asia) freight trains to converge and clear customs in Xinjiang.

Since the launch of China-Europe freight trains in 2011, with their advantages of stability, efficiency and safety, they have provided reliable guarantees for economic and trade exchanges between China and Europe. After years of effort and optimization, they have gradually become an important logistics corridor connecting the Eurasian continent. From IT products such as laptops and printers in the early stage of operation, the categories of goods transported by China-Europe freight trains have gradually expanded to more than 50,000 kinds, including clothing, shoes and hats, automobiles and parts, daily necessities, food, timber, furniture, chemicals, and mechanical equipment. China-Europe freight trains have interconnected technology, markets and economic trade between China and Central Asia and Europe, driving the economic development of various countries and regions.

The series of data on the number of China-Europe freight trains passing through the Horgos Port is a vivid epitome of China's development trend of steady and long-term improvement, and also a major achievement of China-Europe economic and trade cooperation and the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative. With the continuous expansion of opening up, as an important hub for China-Europe freight trains, the Horgos railway port will continue to leverage its advantages in the future and contribute more to China-Europe connectivity and friendly cooperation.
