On the morning of August 19, as the cutterhead of the "Rongguang No. 1" shield machine broke through the final barrier and emerged successfully, the right line of the Renmin Park Station–Wenweng Shishi Station section of the Chengdu Metro Line 10 project was successfully holed through, marking another breakthrough in the project's construction.

The right line of the Renmin Park–Wenweng Shishi section is about 1 kilometer long, with a small tunnel radius and a steep longitudinal slope, and passes beneath major risk sources. At the same time, due to structural size constraints at the launch end, the shield machine adopted a split-launch method, making construction highly difficult and risky.

To complete the construction task safely and efficiently, the project team planned ahead. By strengthening monitoring and measurement, assigning dedicated personnel for 24-hour duty, and adopting an automated monitoring system, the team closely tracked changes in ground structure settlement and adjusted the shield machine's tunneling parameters in a timely manner to ensure the progress of shield tunneling. During tunneling, muck was strictly sampled, analyzed, and improved, and simultaneous grouting and secondary grouting inside the tunnel were properly carried out to ensure the safety of the shield machine as it passed beneath numerous buildings. On-site safety and quality were strictly controlled to guarantee the quality of the formed tunnel and the safety of ground buildings, ensuring that the shield machine passed safely and smoothly beneath all major risk sources and achieved a successful holing-through.
