On August 21, it was learned that the first lining (second lining) concrete pouring at the exit of Jiangjunshan No. 2 Tunnel on the Jiangmen-Ji'nan section of the Zhuhai-Zhaoqing High-Speed Railway was successfully completed a few days ago. The tunnel group within the airport area of the Zhuhai-Zhaoqing High-Speed Railway has entered a new construction stage, laying a solid foundation for the project to complete its progress targets on schedule.

It is reported that Jiangjunshan No. 2 Tunnel is located at the border between Zhaoqing City and Foshan City in Guangdong Province, with a total length of 989.3 meters, making it the longest tunnel in the entire section of this contract. The first lining structure at the exit of Jiangjunshan No. 2 Tunnel poured this time is located east of Miaojing Village, Mingcheng Town, Gaoming District, Foshan City, with a length of 12 meters and a concrete volume of 180.6 cubic meters. The construction area of this contract is mostly mountainous and hilly terrain, with multiple construction points of bridges, tunnels and subgrades connected along the entire line, including a 3.5-kilometer parallel bridge construction section with the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang Railway. The project team actively overcame difficulties such as poor construction conditions and tight schedule requirements, carefully optimized construction organization arrangements, strengthened the allocation of resource elements, scientifically deployed personnel and machinery, and, without waiting or relying on others, rose to the challenges, successfully achieving an important breakthrough in tunnel construction.

According to the introduction, the Zhuhai-Zhaoqing High-Speed Railway is the first high-speed railway with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour independently invested in, constructed and managed by Guangdong Province. It connects Zhuhai, Jiangmen, Foshan and Zhaoqing, with its main line connecting to the planned Pearl River Delta Hub Airport. The Jiangmen to Pearl River Delta Hub Airport section has become an important component of the Shenzhen-Nanning High-Speed Railway. Once the project is completed, it will link Jiangmen Station with the Pearl River Delta Hub Airport, achieving seamless connection between rail and air transport.
