It is learned from Wenzhou Communications Development Group Co., Ltd. that the construction drawing design for the reconstruction and expansion project of the Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou Expressway, specifically the sections from Huwu Town to Nantang Hub in Wenzhou and from Yueqing Hub to Beibaixiang, has passed review.

It is reported that the project is implemented in two sections. The Huwu Town to Nantang Hub section starts from the north side of Haitou Village, Huwu Town, Yueqing City, passes through Dajing Town, Yandang Town, and Qingjiang Town, and ends at the south side of Zhunan Village, Nantang Town, Yueqing City, with a route length of approximately 23.196 kilometers. The Yueqing Hub to Beibaixiang section starts from Yueqing Hub, passes through Liushi Town, and ends within the interchange area of the composite hub formed by Beibaixiang Hub and Daqiao North Interchange, with a route length of approximately 19.83 kilometers. The two sections total 43.026 kilometers in length.

Among them, the Yandangshan Tunnel section of 2.161 kilometers, the Yandang South Tunnel section of 2.665 kilometers, and the section from Beibaixiang Hub to the terminal point of 3.437 kilometers will have three lanes newly built on each side in separated alignment; the remaining sections will be reconstructed and expanded to the standard of a two-way eight-lane expressway, with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour, an estimated investment of approximately 11.863 billion yuan, and a planned construction period of 4 years.

The construction of this project is of great significance for giving full play to the functional role of the national comprehensive transportation corridor, accelerating the building of a transportation powerhouse and the construction of the Zhejiang Marine Economy Development Demonstration Zone, promoting the high-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, and facilitating the urban construction of Wenzhou, Zhejiang, as well as regional economic and social development.
