In Gucun Town, Baoshan District, "New Gucheng" is a rapidly urbanizing area where residential development and road construction are both advancing quickly. Here, the newly built Hulian Road project is a supporting project of the past two years; the new construction will open up a "dead-end road" and improve traffic conditions in the area.
　　The ongoing Hulian Road new construction project starts from Lianyang Road in the west and ends at Luxiang Road in the east, with a length of 920 meters. This project is an important infrastructure project for the Gucun large residential community expansion base. Its main construction contents include: road works, bridge works, drainage works, landscaping works, lighting works, traffic facilities works, etc. The project is expected to be completed in April 2025.
　　To the east of the new construction project is the old Hulian Road. This road starts from Hutai Road in the east and ends at Luxiang Road in the west; on the east side of Luxiang Road there is an extension section more than 300 meters long, at the end of which is the location of the villagers' committee of Guiwang Village, Gucun Town. At present, this extension section is not yet open to free passage, so Hulian Road can be regarded as a "dead-end road." After the new road is completed, the "dead-end" of Hulian Road will be opened up, and traffic from Hutai Road to Lianyang Road will be significantly improved.
