　　Since the beginning of this year, the Municipal Highway Center has solidly carried out project planning and advancement work, implemented the "red, yellow and green" light warning mechanism, boosted the morale of the entire system to work hard and move fast, and made every effort to accelerate and improve the efficiency of maintenance engineering projects.
　　"In April, 18 projects received red-light warnings due to schedule delays; in May, the number of projects with red-light warnings dropped by more than half; by June, only 3 remained. By July 31, the city's highway system had zero red-light warning projects, fully and continuously setting off a boom of project construction in which everyone strives to catch up and compete for the lead." According to the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Highway Center, in order to ensure that maintenance engineering project construction delivers an outstanding "report card" through strong measures, the Municipal Highway Center has combined project construction progress with special supervision and performance evaluation, conducting regular or irregular supervision and assessment of each maintenance engineering project, and comprehensively using means such as notifications, interviews and reminders so that relevant personnel dare not slow down and cannot slow down; it has carried out "empowerment engineering" training for engineering personnel in the highway system, and through inspecting projects, learning experience and identifying gaps, further strengthened the sense of competition and accelerated the pace of catching up in exchange and learning. Each highway sub-center, in light of the monthly light warning notifications, analyzes root causes, makes up for shortcomings, takes the initiative and catches up, striving to win back delayed time and raise lagging indicators. For example, the Dehua Highway Sub-center takes the light warning results as one of the assessment criteria for year-end excellence evaluation of project leaders, and the speed of turning off lights has improved markedly.

Among them, 10 maintenance engineering projects under the responsibility of the Nan'an Highway Sub-center, including slope protection on National Highway 355 and Provincial Highway 213, and drainage system improvement on Provincial Highway 312, have all completed construction tasks ahead of schedule and are expected to be basically completed in September, having ranked first in the comprehensive progress ranking of special maintenance projects across the system for seven consecutive months; the broken slab replacement project on National Highway 228 and the bridge defect repair projects on National Highways 324 and 228 under the responsibility of the Quangang Highway Sub-center were all completed more than one month ahead of schedule; projects under the responsibility of the Yongchun Highway Sub-center, including the greening improvement project on some sections of National Highways 355 and 356, the highway tunnel lighting project, and the road condition improvement project on Provincial Highway 310, have been smoothly completed; the Anxi Highway Sub-center completed the disaster-damage reconstruction project on Provincial Highway 312, and the asphalt overlay project on National Highways 355 and 358 is currently undergoing pavement defect repair, with asphalt paving expected at the end of August; the "white-to-black" reconstruction project on National Highway 358 and the pavement resurfacing reconstruction project on National Highway 324 under the responsibility of the Jinjiang Highway Sub-center are proceeding smoothly according to construction milestones...
