Construction Scale:The Louli Reservoir Project is classified as Grade II, Large (2) type. Major structures such as the main dam and auxiliary dam are Grade 2; the design flood standard is a 500-year return period, and the check flood standard is a 5,000-year return period; major structures are designed for seismic basic intensity VII. The reservoir has a total storage capacity of 291 million cubic meters and a flood control storage capacity of 199 million cubic meters. The reservoir's flood-season restricted water level is 84.0 m; the 20-year and 50-year flood control high water levels are 105.81 m and 106.03 m respectively; the 500-year design flood level is 106.90 m, and the check flood level is 109.69 m. The Louli Reservoir consists of the main dam (a clay core sand-gravel dam section and a concrete sluice gravity dam section) and an auxiliary dam. The concrete sluice gravity dam section is arranged in the main channel of the Minghe River on the right bank, with 13 flood discharge surface outlets on the right side and 8 flood discharge and sediment flushing bottom outlets on the left side; clay core sand-gravel dams are arranged on both sides of the gravity dam, and a homogeneous auxiliary dam is arranged in the depression on the left bank of the river. The total crest length is 4,983 m, of which the main dam is 4,130 m and the auxiliary dam is 853 m, with a crest elevation of 111.5 m. The maximum dam height of the main dam earth-rock dam is 36.5 m, the maximum dam height of the concrete gravity dam is 51.5 m, and the maximum dam height of the auxiliary dam is 11.5 m.
