IV. Project Overview:

(1) Project Scale: The total investment of the Qiannan Pumped Storage Power Station is 9,637,528,100 yuan, and the investment of this section is 439,113,177.5 yuan. The power station is located in Qiannan Prefecture, Guizhou Province, with straight-line distances of 67 km and 44 km to Guiyang and Duyun respectively, close to the Guiyang load center. The total installed capacity of the power station is 1,500 MW. The lower reservoir is a newly built reservoir, located in Xiaozhaichong Gully, Huangsicun, Machangping Subdistrict Office, Fuquan City. The normal storage level of the reservoir is 1,070 m, the dead water level is 1,035 m, and the regulating storage capacity is 8.02 million m³. The water-retaining structure is a concrete face rockfill dam, with a crest elevation of 1,075.00 m, a maximum dam height of 90 m, a crest width of 10 m, and a crest length of 282 m. The water release structure of the lower reservoir is a bank-type free overflow spillway plus a diversion discharge tunnel. The spillway weir width is 5 m, and the maximum discharge is 111 m³/s. The diversion discharge tunnel is reconstructed from the diversion tunnel on the right bank, with a maximum discharge of 17 m³/s.

VI. Planned Construction Period:The project is planned to commence on October 1, 2024, and all construction and acceptance of the works within the scope of this contract shall be completed and handed over to the Employer before October 31, 2029. The total contract period is 1,857 calendar days (including 883 calendar days for construction and installation and 974 calendar days for impoundment). The specific commencement date shall be subject to the commencement order issued by the Supervisor; if the commencement time is delayed, the construction period shall be extended accordingly.
