Recently, the "Jiaozhou Bay No. 7" shield machine successfully launched for the second time on the left line of the section from the starting point to Dajian Station on the Qingdao Metro Line 8 Branch Line. This was the ** key milestone completed since the launch of the "Three Grasps, Three Comparisons" labor competition campaign, getting things off to a good start for efficiently advancing construction during the golden period and demonstrating the accelerated pace of the Qingdao Metro Line 8 Branch Line.

The section from the starting point to Dajian Station is the ** section of the Line 8 Branch Line. Its left line starts from the origin and drives westward along the south side of Zhengyang West Road until reaching the construction-method interface section, where shell-abandonment reception is carried out.

The project team planned ahead and deployed meticulously, efficiently advancing all construction preparation work to ensure the smooth launch of the shield machine. First, they carefully planned the dual-line shell-abandonment reception process to ensure the smooth disassembly of the right line machine and the efficient assembly of the left line, laying a solid foundation for construction continuity. Second, they strictly controlled equipment selection, adopting a "rolling-scraping separation" type cutterhead and cutters, and ensuring the advanced performance of the shield machine through optimized configuration. Third, targeting risk sources such as undercrossing high-pressure gas pipelines and proximity to existing metro lines, the project team formulated scientific and detailed construction plans and emergency response plans in advance, implemented targeted protection measures, strengthened construction monitoring and surface patrols, and actively communicated and coordinated with all parties to ensure the safety and stability of important infrastructure such as high-pressure gas pipelines and existing metro lines during construction. Fourth, they strengthened technological innovation, using BIM technology to simulate key construction processes such as shell-abandonment reception, providing assurance for safe construction. At the same time, they used the shield tunneling smart management platform to connect surveillance video, monitoring data, and shield tunneling parameters in real time to the shield construction monitoring system, fully leveraging the applications of informatization in quality and safety supervision, hazard source monitoring and early warning, and other aspects.
