At 11:00 on August 12, at the construction site of the Foshan Station project, the first prestressed concrete pipe pile successfully completed its trial piling, marking the full-scale commencement of construction of the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway Foshan Station project, which is built by Guangzhou Railway Group and constructed with the participation of China Railway 25th Bureau Group, laying a solid foundation for accelerating subsequent construction.

Located in the "Heart of Foshan," the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway Foshan Station project is a newly built high-speed railway station near the original site of Foshan Railway Station in the central urban area of Foshan. It enjoys a superior geographical location and convenient transportation and is one of the main passenger transport hubs among Foshan's "two main and four auxiliary" railway passenger transport hubs. The project includes a supporting comprehensive transportation hub project designed integrally with the station building and implemented simultaneously, as well as the Foshan High-Speed Railway Station project of Foshan Urban Rail Transit Line 3, with a total investment of approximately 4.745 billion yuan. Among these, China Railway 25th Bureau Group is mainly responsible for the construction of all production and living buildings of Foshan Station, as well as part of the station building decoration, mechanical and electrical installation, and main structure construction. The construction area for this first trial pile is the east and west upper cover platform areas of Foshan Station, with a total of 4 trial pile points, and 800 piles are planned to be driven subsequently. "This trial piling work is an important procedure that provides first-hand construction parameter data for large-scale pile driving operations and will provide reliable technical parameters for subsequent construction and production work," introduced Zhou Changlei, project manager of China Railway 25th Bureau Group.

In order to quickly bring project production onto the right track, the project team assembled a complete management team within one week, made careful preparations and advanced planning, scientifically prepared the construction organization design plan, advanced the entry of equipment and materials as quickly as possible, analyzed risk sources and formulated detailed emergency plans and response measures, and "tailored" the trial piling plan, ultimately completing the first trial piling work within two weeks of entering the site.

It is reported that the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway Foshan Station is an important passenger transport node in the central hub cluster of the Guangzhou-Foshan metropolitan area. In the future, it can connect with 9 high-speed railway lines (sections) with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, which will greatly make up for Foshan's shortcomings in northbound travel. After the project is completed and opened to traffic, it will be possible to reach downtown Guangzhou directly in 15 minutes, promote the direct integration and integrated development of the two trillion-level super city centers of Guangzhou and Foshan, greatly enhance communication and connections between the centers of Guangzhou and Foshan and the western Guangdong region, and build the Guangzhou-Foshan pole of the Greater Bay Area with high quality.
