On August 13, the Party Committee Working Party Branch of Jiangsu Railway Group, the Party Branch of Xinhua Net Jiangsu Co., Ltd., the Party Branch of the All-Media Economic News Department of Xinhua Daily, the ** Party Branch of the Organ of China Railway 14th Bureau Large Shield Company, and the Party Branch of the China Railway 14th Bureau Tongyong High-Speed Railway Project gathered together to jointly carry out the Party-building co-construction activity themed "Entering a Great National Project, Experiencing China's Strength."

Wang Qin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union of Jiangsu Railway Group; Tian Xueting, Director of the Publicity and Mass Work Department and Vice Chairman of the Trade Union; Huang Rong, Assistant to the Editor-in-Chief of Xinhua Net Jiangsu Co., Ltd.; Chen Bingshan, Director of the All-Media Economic News Department of Xinhua Daily; Li Shengyi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union of China Railway 14th Bureau; relevant persons in charge from the Party Committee Working Department, the Mass Organizations Work Department, the Central China Regional Headquarters, and the Large Shield Company; as well as Party member representatives from various Party branches, totaling more than 40 people, participated in this activity.

Participants conducted on-site research at the box culvert processing plant, the shield tunneling site, and the smart engineering monitoring and command center of the Tongyong High-Speed Railway Project. They listened to introductions on the key and difficult aspects of the project, the complex strata in the section, and risk sources, and gained a detailed understanding of the implementation and application of new technologies such as the box culvert fine-adjustment robot, synchronous propulsion and segment assembly of the shield machine, synchronous application of dual-liquid grouting, and advanced geological forecasting. They also praised the standardized, information-based, and intelligent construction technologies and management of the shield tunneling for the Suzhou East Tunnel. 

At the meeting, representatives of the Party organizations of the five units respectively introduced the basic situation of their Party organizations and exchanged and discussed how to leverage their respective advantages, especially by giving play to the advantages of Party-building carriers and platforms, in jointly carrying out Party member education, news publicity, mass services, and cultural promotion. The aim was to promote resource sharing, joint construction of positions, and joint promotion of activities among all parties, continuously enhance the Party-building and professional capabilities of grassroots Party organizations, and strengthen the organizational power and combat effectiveness of Party branches.

The carrying out of this Party-building co-construction activity is a powerful measure for earnestly studying and implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Party, especially the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee. All participating parties stated that holding the Party-building co-construction activity through the "red bond" of the Tongyong High-Speed Railway Project is timely and of far-reaching significance. All parties will take paired co-construction as an opportunity, rely on the Tongyong High-Speed Railway Project to establish and improve a regular work linkage mechanism, form a new pattern of Party-building work featuring whole-region coordination, multi-party linkage, and integration across fields, continuously strengthen exchanges and communication, give full play to the advantages of information resources, make good use of the "Entering a Great National Project, Experiencing China's Strength" Party member education activity practice base and the "New Media Creation Base," continuously increase the depth and breadth of cooperation, and create a new situation in Party-building work featuring "resource sharing, complementary advantages, mutual promotion, and joint development," thereby providing strong support for deepening reform and advancing Chinese-style modernization.

At the exchange meeting, Wang Qin and Li Shengyi unveiled the "Entering a Great National Project   Experiencing China's Strength" Party member education activity practice base, and Chen Bingshan and Shi Qingtao, Secretary of the Party Committee of China Railway 14th Bureau Large Shield Company, unveiled the "New Media Creation Base." Everyone jointly witnessed the signing of the Party-building co-construction agreement by the secretaries of the five Party branches.

During the period, Wang Qin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union of Jiangsu Railway Group; Shi Lianghong, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager; and Ding Yu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Chairman of the Trade Union of Shanghai-Hangzhou Passenger Railway Company, and their delegation also went to the construction site of the Tongyong High-Speed Railway Project to carry out the 2024 summer health "Three Deliveries" condolence activity. Li Shengyi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union of the Group Company, and relevant persons in charge from the Central China Regional Headquarters and the Large Shield Company participated in the activity.

During the activity, the delegation from Jiangsu Railway Group and Shanghai-Hangzhou Passenger Railway Company expressed sincere gratitude and high respect to the frontline builders who braved the severe heat and stayed at their posts. They distributed condolence items such as beverages and cooling kits to the frontline builders and reminded them to prevent heatstroke and balance work and rest while advancing the steady construction of the project.

The carrying out of this Party-building co-construction activity is not only another in-depth exchange and cooperation between China Railway 14th Bureau Group and Jiangsu Railway Group following the signing of their Party-building co-construction agreement, but also another vivid practice of media Party-building co-construction "based on large shield brand publicity." All co-construction parties stated that they will focus on improving the quality of grassroots Party-building work, aim to build a platform of "resource sharing, complementary advantages, and common development," follow the principles of sharing Party-building resources and mutually promoting central work, give play to their respective advantages, identify common focal points, form an overall synergy, jointly organize Party member education and management, jointly serve employees and the masses, and continuously enhance the organizational power of Party organizations, advance the full and rigorous governance of the Party at the grassroots level, and provide strong political guarantees for the high-quality development of all co-construction parties.
