On August 11, the construction of the Jingqing Expressway once again achieved a breakthrough: as a 44-ton steel box girder was precisely positioned, the left and right spans of the third link steel box girders of the Qingyi River Grand Bridge on the Jingqing Expressway were successfully erected. This marks a new stage in the construction of Section 02 of the Jingqing Expressway project undertaken by Anhui Water Resources Development Co., Ltd., pressing the "fast-forward button" for the opening of the project's main line to traffic.

　　According to reports, the Qingyi River Grand Bridge has a total length of 2,002 meters and is a key controlling project of the expressway. The girders of the third, thirteenth, and sixteenth links are all steel box girders. Among them, the third link, as an important section spanning County Road S217 and the Qingyi River Irrigation Main Canal, has a total span of 110 meters, presenting high technical difficulty and construction complexity. The project adopted advanced bracket assembly and walking-type jack incremental launching construction technologies, which not only ensured construction safety and efficiency but also improved the installation precision of the steel box girders. "The incremental launching technology enabled cross-road and cross-river operations without interrupting traffic, greatly reducing the impact of construction on the surrounding environment and traffic," said a relevant person in charge of Anhui Water Resources Development Co., Ltd. The project has a total of six links of steel box girders, and the installation and erection of the third and thirteenth links have now been completed.

　　The successful installation of the third link steel box girder of the Qingyi River Grand Bridge this time has laid a solid foundation for the next full-scale launch of bridge deck system construction. At present, the Section 02 project department of the Jingqing Expressway is working to a reversed schedule, rapidly advancing the construction progress of the Jingqing Expressway and striving to meet the annual target of opening half of the carriageway to traffic.

　　The Xuancheng-to-Dongzhi Expressway Jingxian-to-Qingyang Boundary Section project is a shared section of the S36 Xuancheng-to-Dongzhi Expressway and the S40 Ningguo-to-Zongyang Expressway in the "five vertical and ten horizontal" expressway network plan in the Revised Anhui Provincial Expressway Network Plan (2020-2035). The route has a total length of approximately 39.24 kilometers, with a project cost of about 5.614 billion yuan. It is built as a two-way, four-lane expressway with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. Once completed, it will strengthen the connections among Xuanzhou, Jingxian, Qingyang, Shitai, and Dongzhi, and form a new expressway corridor from the Yangtze River Delta region to Jiangxi and Guangdong.
