Recently, the matching section of Lingshanwan Road Station on the Phase II project of Qingdao Metro Line 6 achieved breakthrough (full connection), providing strong support for the completion of the line on schedule.

Lingshanwan Road Station is located in the former Jiaonan old urban area and is an underground two-story island-platform station with a total length of 250 meters and a crown burial depth of about 25 meters. The matching section has a total length of 233 meters and a crown burial depth of about 29 meters, all situated in slightly weathered granite porphyry strata with high surrounding rock strength. At the same time, the complex environment around the station has brought great challenges to construction operations.

To ensure the smooth overall breakthrough of the station, the construction party systematically reviewed the project's construction risks and key difficulties. During construction, with team building as the starting point, they stimulated the boundless wisdom of the workers and solved construction problems. As of now, all mined stations on Phase II of Line 6 have achieved full breakthrough.

Phase II of Qingdao Metro Line 6 is a backbone line in the western area of Qingdao West Coast New Area. The project starts from Qingdao West Railway Station in the west and ends at Xintun Road Station, the starting station of Phase I, in the east, with a total length of 13.9 kilometers and 10 stations. It connects the comprehensive transportation hub Qingdao West Railway Station and the Metro West Coast Express Line, which can deepen the close connection between the main urban area of the new area and the peripheral areas. It is planned to open to traffic in 2027.
