Recently, another shield tunneling machine for Phase II of Line 18 successfully launched from the west-end head shaft of Hulan Road Station. The section launched this time is the exit line of the Miaohang Parking Lot. With this, four shield machines at the west end of Hulan Road Station are now tunneling in the same direction, marking that tunnel shield construction has officially entered a stage of high-intensity advancement.

The section from Hulan Road Station to Miaohang Parking Lot under this shield construction has a total length of 856.53 meters, with complex geological conditions and surrounding environment. Among these challenges, it crosses over the main line section at a close distance, passes beneath Dongjiaojing and Huzhuang Bridge with shallow cover at a close distance, and passes alongside the Wenzaobang flood control wall. The Fourth Branch, together with all participating construction units, organized the work meticulously. Through measures such as optimizing shield machine selection, expert demonstration, and special construction plans, they overcame difficulties including a tight schedule, high transportation difficulty, and a confined site, successfully achieving the smooth launch of the shield machine. During tunneling, the team will monitor the shield machine's attitude in real time to ensure tunneling precision and safety.
