Recently, the cover slab of the Guanggang New Town Depot of Guangzhou Metro Line 10 was successfully poured, marking the completion of all main structure construction of the Guanggang New Town Depot.

The Guanggang New Town Depot of Line 10 has a total construction area of approximately 98,000 square meters and undertakes multiple functions such as vehicle parking, inspection and maintenance, and commissioning. It comprises 16 individual buildings, including a parking and inspection shed, a maintenance shed, a maintenance and operation building, and a U-shaped groove.

The construction environment around the depot is complex. Guangzhou Metro, together with the construction contractor, actively explored the deep integration of cutting-edge technologies such as the Internet and cloud data with construction, and adopted a system featuring a range of functions including real-name management, remote video monitoring, and BIM modeling management, forming a "cloud + data + terminal" business system and constituting the "most powerful brain" of the smart construction site, which monitors the entire process of site safety management, material management, construction progress, and construction quality. The builders also promptly revised the construction organization plan according to actual on-site construction conditions, achieving effective control of construction quality, safety, and progress.

According to reports, Guangzhou Metro Line 10 runs in a northeast-southwest direction, cutting diagonally through the central urban area of Guangzhou and connecting the four administrative districts of Tianhe, Yuexiu, Haizhu, and Liwan. The line includes the existing Tianhe Coach Terminal to Shipaiqiao section of the Line 3 branch and the newly built Shipaiqiao to Xilang section, with a total length of approximately 19.15 kilometers and 14 stations, all of which are underground, including 10 interchange stations; the Line 3 branch is to be split off; and one depot, the Guanggang New Town Depot, is provided. The vehicles are 6-car B-type trains with a maximum operating speed of 80 km/h.
