On August 1, the right-line shield tunnel of the section from Jinghuixi Road Station to Linghu Avenue Station on the second phase of Wuxi Metro Line 4 was successfully completed.

The right line of the Jinghuixi Road Station to Linghu Avenue Station section completed this time has a total length of about 1,000 meters. It started from Linghu Avenue Station and was laid westward along Zhenze Road,passing alongside Bishui River before breaking through to Jinghuixi Road Station. It is the second shield tunnel completed on the second phase of the Wuxi Metro Line 4 project.

It is worth mentioning that intelligent shield construction was the "major contributor" to the successful completion of this shield tunnel. The construction team used thesmart monitoring center set up at the Linghu Avenue Station site to achieve remote synchronous display, and conducted real-time monitoring of various shield machine tunneling data as well as on-site material management, dust and noise,vehicle washing, and entry and exit conditions.

In addition, the project construction also used clean energy together with highly efficient dust-reducing "water curtain" and "water circulation" systems, extending green construction to every stage of the work and striving to achieve a "double harvest" in both production and environmental protection.

As of now, the enclosure structures of all six stations on the second phase of the Wuxi Metro Line 4 project have been completed, the main structures of Wuxi New District Station and Linghu Avenue Station have been topped out, and two section tunnels across the line have been completed.

After four months of intensive effort, the shield tunneling section from Jinghuixi Road Station to Linghu Avenue Station was successfully completed while ensuring safety and quality, laying a strong foundation for the smooth advancement of the remaining five shield tunneling operations and providing a reference for subsequent shield construction.
