As a high-capacity express line running north-south through the central urban area, Beijing Subway Line 19 will continue to be "extended" to speed up travel for residents in more areas. Recently, the second phase of Beijing Subway Line 19 underwent its ** environmental impact assessment public notice. The second phase of Line 19 will extend north and south on the basis of the already-opened first-phase line, with a total length of about 37.2 kilometers and 13 new stations.

According to the environmental impact assessment public notice, the second phase of Line 19 consists of three parts: the north extension main line, the north extension branch line, and the south extension.
Among them, the north extension main line starts from Mudanyuan Station of the first-phase line in the south and runs north to Life Science Park South Station, connecting via a linking line to the planned Life Valley Station on the Northeast Loop Line of the suburban railway, with a total length of 17.8 kilometers, including 16.8 kilometers of underground line and 1 kilometer of ground-level line, with 6 new stations.
The north extension branch line leads from Shangqingqiao South Station on the main line and connects northwest to Qinghe Station, with a total length of about 6.7 kilometers, all underground, with 1 new station.
The south extension starts from Xingong Station of the first phase in the north and runs south to Daxing Haizijiao Station, with a total length of about 12.7 kilometers, all underground, with 6 new stations; in addition, the second phase will build 1 new vehicle depot.
Beijing Subway Line 19 is a high-capacity express line running north-south through the central urban area. The already-opened first phase starts from Xingong Station in the south and runs north to Mudanyuan Station.
Judging from the previously published planned route map, after the north extension of the second phase of Line 19, it will connect the Beishatan, Qinghe, and Xisanqi areas of Haidian District with the Huitian area and Life Science Park area of Changping District, further densifying the rail transit network in the "Huitian" area. At the same time, after the north extension branch line of the second phase of Line 19 connects to Qinghe Station, it will make it convenient for passengers at Qinghe Station to quickly enter the central urban area, and the hub function of Qinghe Station is expected to be further enhanced.
In addition, after the south extension of Line 19, it will connect the Huaixin cluster in Fengtai District, the eastern area of Xihongmen Town in Daxing District, the Daxing Economic Development Zone, the Tuanhe cluster of Daxing New City, and the Haizijiao area of the eastern cluster of Daxing New City.
On the planned route map of the second phase of Line 19, transfer stations are also marked, including Beishatan Station, Qinghe Xiaoyingqiao Station, Qinghe Station, and Xinlongze Station.
The public notice plan shows that the second phase of Line 19 will focus on the coordinated development of the line with urban functions along the route and station-city integration, guiding the optimization of urban spatial structure; it will strengthen the integration of the line with the comprehensive transportation system and improve regional transportation service levels. It will strengthen the external travel supply along the route and provide fast, large-capacity, transit-oriented rail transit services.
