Recently, under the control of the subtropical high-pressure system, Songyang County has entered "barbecue" mode. The persistent high-temperature, sunny, and hot weather—with scorching sun and rolling heat waves—has brought a severe "roasting" test to every rural water supply worker fighting on the front line of engineering construction. However, as this is the golden period for accelerating construction, in order to ensure project progress and the safety of construction personnel, the project department of the Songyang County Single-Village Water Station Renovation and Upgrading Project has taken active action and adopted multiple measures to safeguard safe production in construction operations.
　　Clever staggered construction scheduling keeps construction tasks advancing steadily. To cope with high temperatures, the project department reasonably formulated a construction plan and adopted a staggered construction model of "work at both ends, rest in the middle," carrying out outdoor work in the early morning and evening while shifting to indoor work at noon. At the same time, heatstroke prevention facilities such as sunshade canopies were set up on site, which not only ensured normal working hours but also allowed construction personnel sufficient rest and sleep, scientifically coordinating labor and running out the "acceleration" of engineering construction projects at full capacity.
　　Training sessions strengthen awareness and rapidly improve emergency response capabilities. To enhance on-site workers' awareness of heatstroke prevention and cooling and their emergency rescue capabilities, special study sessions on heatstroke prevention and cooling during high-temperature weather were organized. Through various forms such as professional explanations, case analyses, and on-site demonstrations, the sessions popularized basic knowledge of preventing heatstroke and first aid to construction personnel, introduced in detail labor protection measures under high-temperature environments and emergency response methods for sudden heatstroke incidents, and built a solid safety defense line for the smooth progress of engineering construction.
　　Heatstroke prevention supplies convey care, and cool drinks refresh people's hearts. To ensure the health of staff and construction safety, the project department carried out the "Summer Coolness Delivery and Heatstroke Prevention and Cooling Condolence Activity." During the activity, the project department delivered heatstroke prevention supplies and medicines such as Rendan and Huoxiang Zhengqi Water to each construction site, and carefully provided cooling beverages such as summer heat-relieving mung bean soup and Dragon Boat Festival tea. They inquired in detail about the physical condition and work situation of construction personnel, guided the implementation of various heatstroke prevention and cooling measures and precautions for high-temperature operations, and reminded everyone to arrange working hours reasonably and pay attention to balancing work and rest.
　　High temperatures and scorching heat cannot stop the construction boom. Up to now, Songyang County has completed the construction of 113 single-village water stations, with a completion rate of 47.7%, and the completion rate of provincial livelihood practical projects has reached 120%.
