Key project construction in Shandan County is "blooming everywhere," running out an "acceleration."
　　Project construction is the "lifeline" and "ballast stone" of economic development, and also the "main lever" for expanding investment, stabilizing growth, and promoting development. Since the beginning of this year, Shandan County has gone all out to compete for projects, worked vigorously and built quickly to expand investment, and taken the initiative to attract investment, striving to bring more chain-leading enterprises and driving projects to land in Dan. At present, the provincially listed major project Qingyang Coal Mine has officially started; a batch of major projects with large investment scale, strong driving effects, and good industrial prospects, such as the million-head mutton sheep slaughtering and deep processing project and Phase II of the LNG Reserve Center, have landed and begun construction; a large number of projects that lay the foundation, consolidate the roots, and benefit the long term, such as the Tengda Xitie high-quality ecological alloy project and the coal chemical industry park, are being accelerated; 32 investment-attraction projects for extending and supplementing the chain, including the production line for 10,000 tons per year of anchor bolt assemblies and the camel milk deep processing project, have been signed and entered the database. One key project after another is steadily advancing, accumulating momentum and empowering the high-quality economic and social development of Shandan County.
　　"At present, the basic civil construction has been completed, the main body of the outer tank of the LNG storage tank and the external steel structure installation have been completed, and the insulation layer at the tank bottom and the inner tank bottom plate are being laid," said Liu Libin, deputy manager of the Energy Company of Zhangfa Group. After the project is completed, calculated on the combined capacity of Phase I and Phase II, the daily natural gas processing capacity will reach 1.5 million cubic meters, and the natural gas storage capacity will reach 59,600 cubic meters.
　　The Zhangye LNG Reserve Center is the main natural gas emergency reserve depot and an important strategic energy security base in the Hexi region. Its Phase I project, with an annual production of 120,000 tons of liquefied natural gas, was officially put into operation in November 2022. The Phase II project has a total investment of 520 million yuan and will build one LNG storage tank with a storage capacity of 29,800 cubic meters, along with one set of liquefied natural gas production facilities with a daily processing capacity of 1 million cubic meters of raw gas and auxiliary production facilities. Once completed, it will become the largest natural gas emergency reserve base in the province.
　　Also accelerating construction is the camel milk deep processing project. Workers are stepping up the final work, 90% of the equipment in the production workshop has been installed, and the Phase I laboratory workshop and spray drying tower have been installed.
　　Camel milk deep processing is a key investment-attraction project this year, invested and constructed by Gansu Zhongtuo Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Phase I plans an investment of 120 million yuan, mainly to build office buildings, laboratory clean workshops, cold storage, and other hardware facilities, and to equip five production lines for pure camel milk powder, fermented milk beverages, sterilized camel milk, formulated camel milk powder, and sea buckthorn camel milk, with an expected annual processing capacity of 3,000 tons of raw camel milk. Phase II plans an investment of 80 million yuan, mainly to build a Model 750 camel milk powder spray drying production line and production lines for milk beer, camel milk cosmetics, and camel milk food, and to research, develop, and produce products such as specialty-flavor liquid milk and multigrain fruit-flavored milk, which will strongly drive the transformation and development of the livestock industry.

Nowadays, at the construction site of the urban shantytown renovation project on West Street in Shandan County, large machinery such as tower cranes and concrete mixer trucks are carrying out operations intensively and orderly, and workers are racing against time to construct, presenting a spectacular scene.
　　"At present, construction has started on 14 residential buildings, of which the main body of Building 1# has been topped out, Buildings 2#, 3#, 5#, 6#, and 7# are undergoing main structure construction, and the remaining 8 residential buildings are undergoing foundation construction. They are planned to be delivered for use by the end of the year," said Huang Zhiyuan, project manager of the West Street urban shantytown renovation project. The project has an estimated total investment of 1.037 billion yuan and involves 866 households in Dongjie Village and Xijie Village of Qingquan Town. It is planned to build 78 residential buildings of various types and 3,120 housing units. After completion, the project will further improve the people's production and living conditions and fully stimulate the vitality of urban construction and development.
