The reporter learned from China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd. that recently, at the construction site of Huinan Grand Bridge in Huinan Town, Pudong New Area, Shanghai, an arch rib beam measuring 63 meters long, 3.4 meters high and weighing 98.6 tons was accurately hoisted into place, marking the successful closure of the arch ribs of the 128-meter tied-arch bridge over the Dazhi River on the Huinan Grand Bridge of the Taicang–Situan section of the Shanghai–Suzhou–Nantong Railway, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent completion of the girder-erection route.
It is reported that the Huinan Grand Bridge is about 15.55 kilometers long, and the arch ribs of the 128-meter tied-arch bridge over the Dazhi River are located between piers No. 339 and No. 340 of the Huinan Grand Bridge, spanning the Dazhi River navigation channel in a single span. The bridge has a total length of 130.2 meters and a deck width of 17 meters, and is hoisted using the floating crane method. According to the project department of China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group, as the first double-track railway bridge under construction on the Shanghai–Suzhou–Nantong Railway to be built using the arch-first-then-girder method, the construction is characterized by a large span, high technical difficulty, a long construction period and high safety risks.
It is reported that, in order to build a high-quality bridge project, the project construction management unit, Shanghai–Hangzhou Passenger Railway Co., organized the construction unit, the project department of China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group, to formulate and improve the construction plan, conduct safety and technical briefings in advance, and carefully organize the entire construction process. Construction administrative permits were obtained in advance from the river channel and maritime management departments, and a linkage mechanism was established with units including river channel, maritime, environmental logistics, water law enforcement and navigation warning authorities; pre-construction meetings and post-construction process reviews were conducted to optimize construction procedures and the areas and timing of water traffic control, minimizing the impact on passing vessels.
At the same time, warning forces were deployed on site, with infrared height-limit alarm devices and warning vessels set up upstream and downstream of the construction area, and anti-collision piers installed in the water on both sides of the bridge to ensure the safety of both construction operations and shipping operations. During the support hoisting operations, the project team prefabricated a total of 6 finished arch ribs and adopted the method of hoisting the arch ribs in sections, using monitoring data to dynamically adjust the elevation difference and spacing of the steel pipe arch closure openings, achieving "high-precision" closure with longitudinal and transverse errors of less than 2 millimeters.
The Taicang–Situan section of the Shanghai–Suzhou–Nantong Railway is located in the riverside and coastal areas of southern Jiangsu and Shanghai. It starts from Taicang Station of the Shanghai–Suzhou–Nantong Railway in the north and connects to Situan Station of the Shanghai Pudong Railway in the south, passing through Taicang City under the jurisdiction of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, as well as Jiading District, Baoshan District, Pudong New Area and Fengxian District of Shanghai. The line has a total length of 111.8 kilometers and a design speed of 200 kilometers per hour. The entire line has Taicang, Xuxing, Shanghai Baoshan, Waigaoqiao, Shanghai East and Situan stations, with Caolu Station and Huinan Station reserved.
