On July 24, with the completion of pouring the last batch of concrete for the roof slab of the 22nd continuous cast-in-place girder, the Jinan Yellow River Highway Bridge on the Jinan section of National Highway 104 (Jinglan Line) (the new Yellow River Bridge) achieved north-south through-connection of its main structure, laying the foundation for the subsequent full completion and opening of the bridge.

　　The new Jinan Yellow River Bridge has a total length of 2,518 meters, with a main bridge length of 1,028 meters, a maximum span of 488 meters, and a bridge width of 37.5 meters. The new bridge is being built alongside the old bridge, with a deck height difference of 24 meters between the new and old bridges and a center-to-center spacing of 33.5 meters. It is the ** first unequal-span side-by-side bridge construction project on the Yellow River, and also the highway-railway layered co-construction bridge with the largest span and the longest total steel bridge length across the Yellow River, setting a new record for Yellow River crossings.

　　The new Jinan Yellow River Bridge is a highway-railway co-construction project, accommodating both road traffic and rail transit. The rail transit level beneath the new bridge will reserve a Yellow River crossing channel for Metro Line 7. The co-constructed section of Line 7 and the new Yellow River Bridge starts from the southeast area of the Lingdian Interchange, merges northward into the project mainline in an underground buried manner, gradually rises on the south bank of the Yellow River and emerges above ground, and connects to the new Yellow River Bridge in an elevated form. At present, the Yellow River South Bank Station of the metro near the Lingdian Interchange is under construction; it is an above-ground station adjacent to the Yellow River.

　　After completion, the new Jinan Yellow River Bridge will run through Jinan's main urban area and the Jinan Start-up Area for Growth Drivers Transformation, providing rapid access in all directions and playing an important role in improving the regional road network layout, optimizing the road network structure, enhancing road network traffic capacity, and alleviating existing traffic congestion.
