　　In accordance with the standard formulation and revision plan of the China Highway and Transportation Society (CHTS), the CHTS standards "Design Guide for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Volume 4: Artificial Island Engineering," "Construction and Quality Acceptance Standard for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Volume 3: Artificial Island Engineering," "Construction Technical Guide for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Volume 3: Artificial Island Engineering," and "Operation and Maintenance Design Guide for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Project," chief-edited by the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Authority, have formed draft versions for public comment (Attachments 1, 2, 3, and 4). In accordance with the requirements of the "Measures for the Management of CHTS Standards (Trial)" and the "Guidelines for the Management of Formulation and Revision of CHTS Standards (Trial)," public comments are now being solicited. All units and individuals are kindly requested to respond actively and provide feedback voluntarily.

　　The "Comment Feedback Form" (Attachments 5, 6, 7, and 8) must be submitted to the contact person by August 25, 2024. If no reply is received by the deadline, it will be deemed that there are no objections. Representatives of units and individuals who submit high-quality comments will be invited as experts to attend the review meeting for the draft for examination.

　　Preparation process and brief introduction: The "Design Guide for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Volume 4: Artificial Island Engineering" passed the project initiation and outline review in August 2017. This guide was prepared on the basis of summarizing the design experience of the artificial islands of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and in light of the development needs of artificial island design technology for sea-crossing bridges in China. It includes technical content such as general requirements, overall design of the artificial island body, revetment, retaining structures, land formation, foundation treatment, and monitoring and inspection. It is applicable to the design of revetment, retaining structures, land formation, and foundation treatment of the artificial islands for the bridge-tunnel transition of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and similar projects may refer to it for implementation.

　　Preparation process and brief introduction: The "Construction and Quality Acceptance Standard for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Volume 3: Artificial Island Engineering" passed the project initiation and outline review in August 2017. This standard was formulated on the basis of summarizing the experience in quality inspection of the construction of the east and west artificial islands of the island-tunnel project of the main works of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and in combination with the formulation of quality acceptance standards for artificial island construction of sea-crossing bridges in China. It includes quality acceptance standards for general provisions, land formation, foundation treatment, steel cylinder retaining structures, revetment structures, etc. It is applicable to the construction and quality acceptance of land formation, foundation treatment, and island body structures of artificial islands, and similar projects may refer to it for implementation.

　　Preparation process and brief introduction: The "Construction Technical Guide for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Volume 3: Artificial Island Engineering" passed the project initiation and outline review in August 2017. This guide was prepared on the basis of summarizing and absorbing the construction experience and relevant scientific research results of the artificial island project of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. It includes content such as island wall engineering, backfilling and foundation treatment within the island, construction of the island-tunnel junction, facilities on the island, and construction monitoring. It is applicable to the construction technical management of sea-crossing bridges and offshore artificial islands of different scales and provides an important reference for the implementation of similar projects.

　　Preparation process and brief introduction: The "Operation and Maintenance Design Guide for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Project" underwent project initiation and outline review in September 2017, a standard preparation work meeting was held on September 6, 2018, and it passed the first draft review meeting in January 2019. The preparation of the guide takes "demand-guided design" as its basic idea and concept. On the basis of achievements such as the earlier "Dedicated Operation and Maintenance Standards for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge" and the special study "Operation and Maintenance Criteria for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Project" at the preliminary design stage of the bridge, and with the current domestic standards and specifications as the benchmark, it appropriately refers to relevant standards and specifications of Hong Kong, Macao, and international practices. It aims to provide technical standards for the design, operation, and maintenance of bridges, tunnels, and artificial islands, so as to guide and standardize the design, operation, and maintenance of the bridge, thereby ensuring that the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge can meet the established functional and service-level requirements during its operation stage.
