Recently, five national standards for green product evaluation in the building materials industry, including "Green Product Evaluation - Sanitary Ceramics," proposed and managed by the China Building Materials Federation, were approved and issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation and will be officially implemented starting January 1, 2025.

　　The five newly released standards standardize the green product evaluation of sanitary ceramics, stone, ready-mixed mortar for decoration and renovation, wood-plastic composites, and thermal insulation materials, put forward the basic requirements for green products and production enterprises, clearly define the evaluation index requirements from five aspects—"resource attributes, energy attributes, environmental attributes, quality attributes, and low-carbon attributes"—and distinguish between "green product benchmark values" and "green product values." The release and implementation of these standards will help promote the diversification of varieties, improvement of quality, and brand creation of green building materials, advance the green and low-carbon development of the building materials industry, and are of positive significance for supporting China's efforts to accelerate the establishment of a unified system for green product standards, certification, and labeling and to achieve green, low-carbon, and circular development.
　　The China Building Materials Federation attaches great importance to the standardization of green products. In recent years, under the guidance of the State Administration for Market Regulation, it has promoted the release of nine national standards for green product evaluation in the building materials industry. Next, it will continue to improve the formulation and revision of national standards for green product evaluation of cement, architectural glass, and wall materials, improve the green building materials evaluation standard system, and help build a modern building materials industry system.
