On July 23, China Railway 14th Bureau Group and China Three Gorges Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CTG Construction Engineering") signed a contract in Chengdu for the Qinghai Golmud Nanshankou Pumped Storage Power Station project. Li Bin, Deputy Chief Engineer of China Three Gorges Corporation and Chairman and Party Secretary of CTG Construction Engineering, Wu Yankun, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Railway 14th Bureau Group, and others attended the signing ceremony.

Li Bin extended congratulations to China Railway 14th Bureau Group and expressed the hope that the bureau would concentrate its advantageous resources, leverage its professional expertise, anchor the key routes, focus on milestone objectives, organize meticulously and manage scientifically, and move in quickly to advance the efficient construction of the Nanshankou Pumped Storage Power Station, demonstrating the responsibility and commitment of a central state-owned enterprise through concrete actions.

Wu Yankun stated that the Nanshankou Pumped Storage Power Station is large in scale and high in altitude, with a complex construction environment. China Railway 14th Bureau Group will fully leverage its experience in high-altitude engineering construction, implement all requirements of CTG Construction Engineering, form an expert team, fully equip production elements, increase the application of innovative technologies, conduct scientific scheduling, and deliver quality performance, building the project into a premium, model, and demonstration project in the field of green new energy and making new contributions to the green economic development of Qinghai.

Li Zhiguo, Deputy General Manager of CTG Construction Engineering, and Shi Zongtao, Deputy General Manager of China Railway 14th Bureau Group, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties respectively.

As a key implementation project of China's 14th Five-Year Plan, the Nanshankou Pumped Storage Power Station is currently the largest started construction project in terms of installed capacity and regulating storage capacity in the world's high-altitude areas above 3,500 meters. It is of great significance for promoting the large-scale development of new energy in Qinghai Province and building a national highland for the clean energy industry.

In recent years, China Railway 14th Bureau Group has vigorously developed strategic emerging industries and deepened its engagement in the pumped storage power station sector. It ranks first within the China Railway Construction system in terms of earliest participation, most contracted tasks, and best credit rating, having participated in 15 pumped storage power stations in total and achieving full coverage of performance across areas from preliminary works to dams, powerhouses, and water conveyance and power generation systems, accumulating rich experience in construction organization and technological innovation.
