On July 24, the cutterhead of the "Shanhe" shield tunneling machine was lifted by a crawler crane from the ground and lowered into the shield launching shaft of the Huanggang Road Yellow River Crossing Tunnel in Jinan.

On that day, the cutterhead of the "Shanhe" shield tunneling machine for the Huanggang Road Yellow River Crossing Tunnel, constructed by China Railway 14th Bureau Group, was successfully lifted and lowered into the shaft, laying the foundation for the shield machine to launch and cross the Yellow River.

The Huanggang Road Yellow River Crossing Tunnel is an important part of Jinan's overall layout of Yellow River crossing channels. Once completed, the project will help achieve interconnectivity between Jinan's main urban area and the Starting Zone for the Conversion of Old and New Growth Drivers, and promote Jinan's development across the Yellow River.
